  • Lodging applications with the Department of Home Affairs, the Administrative Review Tribunal, skills assessing authorities and other government agencies
  • Complying with our professional, legal and regulatory obligations (including under the Migration Act 1958 (Cth), the Legal Profession Uniform Law (NSW) and the Code of Conduct for Registered Migration Agents)
  • Internal administration, billing, and quality assurance
  • Marketing our services to existing clients (you may opt out at any time)

5. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • The Department of Home Affairs and other Australian government agencies
  • The Administrative Review Tribunal and Australian courts
  • Skills assessing authorities (e.g. VETASSESS, TRA, ACS, Engineers Australia, CPA Australia)

  • Counsel (barristers) instructed on your matter
  • Sponsors, employers, education providers or family members with your consent
  • Our professional indemnity insurer and external auditors
  • Third-party IT and document management providers under confidentiality obligations

Overseas disclosure: Some of our service providers may be located overseas (including the United States, where common cloud services are hosted). Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient handles the information in accordance with the APPs.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include secure document storage, encrypted communications where appropriate, restricted access to client files, and ongoing staff training in confidentiality and privacy obligations.

Under APP 12 and APP 13, you have a right to request access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within a reasonable period (usually within 30 days) and may require proof of identity before releasing information.

If we refuse access or correction, we will provide you with written reasons and information about how to complain.
